Founded in 1923, Gamma Chi Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Arkansas is built on the core values of leadership, service, and brotherhood. Our chapter is committed to fostering personal growth, academic excellence, and lifelong friendships among our members, making a lasting impact both on campus and beyond.
MISSION & HISTORY.
Lambda Chi Alpha’s Gamma Chi Zeta chapter at the University of Arkansas was established in 1923, becoming a foundational part of Greek life in Fayetteville. Originally formed from the local society Theta Phi Delta, the chapter has upheld a tradition of leadership, service, and brotherhood for over a century. The chapter's historic house, situated on North Stadium Drive, stands as a symbol of its enduring presence and commitment to the university community.
The mission of Lambda Chi Alpha is to inspire and equip men to lead an ethical life of growth, service, and leadership. The fraternity envisions a world where the ideal man pursues a life of respect and inclusion for all, supporting and encouraging one another to make a positive impact on society. These principles are embodied in the fraternity's seven core values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service and Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.
Today, Gamma Chi Zeta continues to be a vibrant part of the University of Arkansas, offering members opportunities for academic achievement, leadership development, and lifelong friendships. The chapter actively participates in campus events, philanthropic endeavors, and community service, reflecting its commitment to the values and mission of Lambda Chi Alpha.
